Think Brick’s Kevin Borland Masonry Award now encompasses both residential and commercial projects. In 2013 the Kevin Borland Masonry Award was introduced to recognize concrete masonry – a result of collaboration with the Concrete Masonry Association of Australia. Woods Bagot won the award for St Mary of the Cross, MacKillop Chapel, in recognition of the project’s commercial masonry excellence.
Along with a $10,000 cash prize, for the first time a Grand Prix Award will be presented to the best nomination across all five categories. The Grand Prix winner will receive two business-class tickets to the Venice Biennale in 2016. Entries close 23 May 2014. thinkbrick.com.au
