The BionicTile facade removes nitrous oxide produced by diesel exhaust.

KHD products used for Bairnsdale Library

KHD supplied a 47,000-litre VersiTank, BionicTiles and Australian bluestone for the Bairnsdale Library Redevelopment by NOWarchitecture.

The VersiTank services the toilets and irrigation systems and passively cools the building. Tempered fresh air enters the library through large plastic pipes buried beneath the tanks, which significantly reduces airconditioning costs. BionicTiles were installed for their ability to neutralize the nitrous oxide emitted by diesel vehicles passing through the regional hub of Bairnsdale, while Australian bluestone paving used in the public plaza on the eastern side of the building unifies the whole design. khdlandscapesolutions.com.au
