ArchitectureAP Symposium returns to Brisbane

The ArchitectureAP Symposium is an engaging, one-day conference that explores the innovative thinking and transformative projects of architecture practices from across the Asia Pacific region. Following the sell-out success of the inaugural event in 2016, the ArchitectureAP Symposium will return to Brisbane on Friday 24 March, 2017.

Architects, designers and planners are invited to attend the symposium, which is presented as part of the two-week Asia Pacific Architecture Forum comprised of exhibitions, installations, workshops and lectures (18–31 March 2017).

The symposium, held in the State Library of Queensland’s main auditorium, will promote the pivotal role that architects have in shaping the culture and economy of the Asia Pacific region. The speakers, who reflect the diversity of the Asia Pacific, are Shigeru Ban of Shigeru Ban Architects (Japan), Savinee Buranasilapin and Tom Dannecker of Thingsmatter (Thailand), Stephen Collier of Stephen Collier Architects (Australia), John Denton of Denton Corker Marshall (Australia), Abbie Galvin of BVN Architecture (Australia), Sojung Lee and Sangjoon Kwak of OBBA (Korea), Wenhui Lim of Spark Architects (Singapore), Milinda Pathiraja of Robust Architecture Workshop (Sri Lanka), and Katherine Skipper of Warren and Mahoney (New Zealand).
