Stage 1 of the Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Life Saving Club refurbishment used Futurewood’s innovative EnviroSlat cladding. After the facade came Stage 2 – the deck – and Futurewood’s CleverDeck composite timber decking was chosen to complete the renovation. Just like the Futurewood cladding, the composite decking represents great value, style and is a genuine low-maintenance material.
For this project, the decking used was 138 mm × 23 mm × 5.4 metre lengths, in the colour Saltbush. Crowdfunding through a “buy a board” campaign helped to fund the cost of the deck, and Futurewood also contributed with a donation. futurewood.com.au
