Australian Interior Design Awards 2010

A dynamic butcher’s shop, a warehouse interior and two elegant homes recognized in this year’s awards

Celebrating the best in interiors – from luxe living to workspace wow – the Australian Interior Design Awards 2010 were announced on Friday 23 April 2010 at the Sydney Town Hall. Now in its seventh year, this annual awards program is co-presented by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA), Designex and Artichoke magazine.

The Premier Award for Interior Design Excellence and Innovation went to Dreamtime Australia Design for Victor Churchill Fine Family Butcher located in Woollahra, Sydney.

In its citation, the jury noted: “The interior reveals a dramatic juxtaposition of old-world production and contemporary theatre. The design intensifies the retail journey and the customer experience.” Awards were presented across the program’s 15 categories, including Best of State awards.
