Environmentally sustainable design was a key priority in the construction of 180 Brisbane, a new skyscraper targeting Brisbane’s first 6-Star Green Star rating. Architecture practice Crone Partners designed an artistic imprint of the Brisbane river on the building’s facade as well as a green wall.
Main contractor Watpac installed more than 450 Bobrick products, supplied by Barben Architectural Hardware. The Bobrick products were specified on the basis of resource-efficiency throughout the building’s lifecycle. The new SureFlo automatic touch-free soap dispenser was developed with advanced fibre-optic technology, non-proprietary composition, convenient filling port mechanism and a low battery indicator.
