Building-Armour mesh spans three storeys across a walkway connecting buildings at the University of Auckland campus. The need for fall protection was paramount, as well as the ability to maintain sufficient airflow, and sun and rain protection.
Kaynemaile worked with architecture practice Architectus to provide a solution that would allow students to cross the open walkway safely. As a result, students stroll through the illuminated jade green space with a view of the city beyond. The lush, translucent colour provides light relief in an otherwise concrete environment. kaynemaile.com
