A single resource for specifying fire-and acoustic-rated solutions, Systems+ has easy-to-find fire rating, acoustic and structural performance data and installation specifications for a wide range of USG Boral building systems, including lightweight walls and ceilings, masonry upgrades and beam/column fire-protection systems.

Systems+ allows specifiers to select from the entire range of USG Boral products, including Sheetrock® Brand Plasterboard. It offers colour-coded pages and acoustic ratings, descriptive system names and prominently displayed fire ratings for quick and simple specification.

“The Systems+ catalogue is a publication with a lot of detailed information. It is well presented, categorized and streamlined for the end user, which simplifies finding a particular wall system and its corresponding acoustic rating,” says Nicholas Tselios, director at Renzo Tonin & Associates.

The team at Renzo Tonin & Associates, particularly Tony Wong and Nicholas Tselios, provided the acoustic ratings for each system in the Systems+ catalogue. This was achieved through a two-year process that involved challenging the modelled performance against numerous laboratory test reports.

The development process was an iterative one, whereby the team at Renzo Tonin & Associates scrutinized the acoustic performance of each individual wall system. The acoustic ratings were then fine-tuned by calibrating the computer model and validating the results.

Acoustic performance requirements can vary greatly from project to project and Systems+ can help simplify the acoustic specification process. In particular, Systems+ is ideal for selecting wall and ceiling systems within multiresidential projects, such as separating walls between apartments or walls separating a unit from a public corridor.
