Horsehair fabrics from Boyac

Woven by hand on ancient looms in the workshops of Le Crin in France, Boyacs latest fabric collection is made from horsehair, ensuring truly sustainable luxury.

Traditionally found on Georgian upholstered furniture, horsehair cloth is now woven in a range of contemporary designs jacquards, satins and sheers combined with linen, jute or sisal. Horsehair is hard wearing and naturally resistant to sunlight, humidity and moisture. It is available in natural colours of blond, chestnut and black, as well as blond dyed into vivid colours.

Horsehair tresses can also be braided and woven into decorative trimming and tiebacks.
