Greenscreen NRG 3% Sunscreen fabric

Hunter Douglas Commercial introduces a new sunscreen that offers a suite of environmental benefits

New Greenscreen® NRG 3% Sunscreen fabric is the latest addition to the Greenscreen® fabric range. As the name suggests, Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric is not only environmentally sound, but can also reduce heat and glare levels to improve the energy efficiency of a building.

Hunter Douglas Commercial marketing manager Genevieve Marshall explains the environmental benefits of Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric: “Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric contributes to a reduction in heat and glare, improving the energy efficiency of a building, as well as maintaining excellent outward visibility. This product brings a new level of product innovation to the Hunter Douglas Commercial product offering. We believe it’s important to continually evolve our range and provide environmentally sound choices for our commercial customers in light of the growing demand for such products in the current Australian marketplace.

“Greenscreen® NRG 3% Sunscreen fabric is available now through Hunter Douglas Commercial resellers in each state. This metallised polyester sunscreen fabric is the leading environmental alternative to PVC-coated sunscreen fabrics.”

Available in either a roller blind or panel glide application, the beautifully woven texture of Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric provides a fresh, new look for window treatments. Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric is woven from Trevira CS yarn, providing inherent fire-retardant properties, complying with the general requirements of the Building Code of Australia regarding fire-hazard properties of materials in buildings, and the Trevira CS B1 certification, DIN 4102 European fire-retardant standard.

Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric has been tested and does not exceed the maximum VOC (volatile organic compound) criteria specified by the Green Building Council of Australia (IEQ-11).

Greenscreen® NRG 3% fabric is woven 2.4 metres wide and comes in six colourways. All colours have been tested and have light transmission results less than 10%. This new sunscreen fabric is part of the Hunter Douglas Commercial Multivision® Concept, coordinating with other Hunter Douglas Commercial fabric ranges. This allows specifiers and architects to feature a range of translucencies on different windows, maintaining a uniform aesthetic while catering for various shading requirements on a single project.

Hunter Douglas Commercial is a member of the Green Building Council of Australia and is committed to providing environmentally sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

Hunter Douglas Commercial offers a wide range of sunscreen fabrics which are both technically superior and aesthetically unique in a wide range of fabrics, colours and sizes. Additionally, all sunscreen fabrics meet the Australian lightfastness standard and come with a two year manufacturer’s warranty.
