The Xtreme bushfire window and door system from Trend Windows and Doors has been assessed and is rated to the highest standard in AS 3959-2009, which is full Flame Zone or AS 1530.8.2. This standard applies to products that can meet the absolute extreme conditions of direct exposure to flames from fire front in addition to heat flux and ember attack.
A combination of Trend’s technologically advanced, CSIRO-tested BAL 40 (1530.8.1-2007) Xtreme window and door system with Pyro-Protec seals and glazing systems and standard 5 mm or 6 mm toughened glass and the Smoke Control CSIRO-tested (1530.4) Windowshield fire curtain produces the Xtreme Flame Zone bushfire system.
This latest development is a result of Trend Windows and Doors’ ongoing research and development and extensive testing with CSIRO over the past five years, aimed at developing affordable window and door systems that will withstand the absolute extremes of bushfire attack.
Smoke Control is a market leader in its industry sector for fire and smoke control within buildings. The company’s extensive experience with fire protection and fire engineering has brought them together with Trend to create this world-first innovation.
