Engineered over ten years ago by Fisher & Paykel, the DishDrawer broke the mould of the slab-faced white drop-down-door appliance that resides next to the sink. Single or double DishDrawers can now be placed anywhere in the kitchen, challenging the age-old convention of a traditional triangle configuration between the stove, sink and fridge.
The DishDrawer range has now been further expanded to include the functionality of especially wide and tall drawers that can still fit seamlessly into any kitchen. While the single and double drawers fit up to six place settings and plates up to 29 cm wide, the new DishDrawer Tall can easily fit much larger plates up to 33 cm in diameter.
Meanwhile, the family-sized DishDrawer Wide – at a roomy 900 mm – can hold up to nine place settings and platters as wide as 31 cm, and features fully adjustable racks, which can be rearranged to accommodate chopping boards, roasting dishes and those long utensils that will otherwise require a separate hand wash.
With a variety of front-panel options, DishDrawers can either be showcased or hidden, with options including the Fisher & Paykel Designer and Classic ranges with the choice of stainless steel or white facades or an integrated look to complement the design aesthetic.
The latest DishDrawer offerings also include whisper-quiet noise reduction features around 5 dB quieter than previous models, ensuring cycles don’t compete with pleasurable conversation and soft dinner music.
All DishDrawers come with an impressive threestar energy rating and four-star WELS water rating, and feature eco-wash cycles. Drawers can be run independently, saving water and energy for smaller loads. Nine wash options are available and include memory features that automatically recall the latest wash cycle selected. Cycles can also be delayed by up to 12 hours, to run in off-peak times to save money.
