Carterwilliamson were presented with a common challenge with this Rozelle (NSW) renovation – create a fabulous, open plan, light, modern space at the rear of an existing home, within a limited budget. Shadowclad plywood cladding by Carter Holt Harvey became part of the solution and in turn, a favoured material for future projects. Carter was looking for an inexpensive but attractive cladding material without compromising on durability and longevity. After some investigation he found Shadowclad ticked all the boxes.
Lightweight Shadowclad is available in sheets 1200 mm wide and lengths of 2440 mm or 2745 mm with a shiplap weathergroove joint. The sheets have a rough band sawn surface and in this project the vertical grooved texture was selected.
Shadowclad is also available with a pre-primed powdercoated finish.
Shadowclad is manufactured from sustainably managed plantation timber and is available with Chain of Custody certification for Green Star credit points.
