Australian Interior Design Awards

In a record-breaking year, an unprecedented 215 projects have been shortlisted in Australia’s premier interior design awards program. From a total entry list of 653, jurors had their work cut out for them, with many high-profile and worthy projects in contention. Full details, including project images, are available for viewing within gallery pages at australianinteriordesignawards.com.

Co-presented by the Design Institute of Australia, designex and Artichoke magazine, the Australian Interior Design Awards celebrate the best in Australian residential and commercial interior design. Established nine years ago, this award program has evolved into Australia’s most prominent and well-regarded vehicle for recognizing professional interior design.

The 15 award categories represent all facets of the industry, from emerging practices to those with established reputations. Small residential and large public projects are showcased, as are installations and sustainable designs.

Awards and commendations will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday 27 April at Sydney’s Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf, where more than 600 design professionals will gather to celebrate. Tickets can be booked online and full results will be posted online by Tuesday 1 May 2012.
