Europlank Herringbone, available exclusively from Havwoods, is one of the world’s best engineered parquet floors. Architects and specifiers can now lay a classic herringbone floor on an engineered board.
A producer of one-strip engineered boards, Havwoods now offers a traditional herringbone block. Available in designs with a contemporary twist, Europlank Herringbone has dimensions of 600 mm × 120 mm × 14.5 mm making them notably larger than normal. The proportions mean they can be laid in classic double herringbone, basket weave and tumbling dice pattens. The designs all feature the advantages of an engineered floor meaning dimensional stability and easy glue-down installation.
The blocks are currently available in Oak Nature, a pre-sanded, unfinished block suitable for on-site finishing; Oak Crystal, a white-washed coloured brushed and matt lacquered pre-finished block; and Oak Burnish, a dark smoke-coloured brushed and matt-lacquered pre-finished block.
Both finished and unfinished blocks come with a four-millimetre wear layer meaning they can be sanded and refinished when required.
