January 2013 saw the release of some exciting new designs at IMM Cologne. Two key German brands represented by Living Edge in Australia, e15 and Walter Knoll, released new products to wide acclaim at this year’s international furniture fair.
Walter Knoll showed the Gordon sofa by EOOS in a larger corner lounge formation. The sofa won the Wallpaper 2013 Design Award for best sofa. The Gordon was praised for its extremely fine-grade upholstery paired with its minimalist style. The design incorporates a high, supportive back with a slim-line back shield, making it a versatile sofa perfect for small environments as well as larger spaces.
Key pieces from the e15 range include the FK12 Fortyforty side table, a powdercoated steel piece originally designed by Ferdinand Kramerin in 1945; and the CT09 Enoki side table, made from marble, wood and coloured steel.
