When Mazda built its distribution centre at Brisbane Airport, it had particular conservation requirements for rainwater harvesting for use in toilets, irrigation and vehicle wash-down for up to 100 vehicles a day.
Kingspan Water manufactured and installed 14 large-capacity, made-to-measure tanks to create a total water capacity of 118,860 litres. Rainwater is harvested from various catchment areas and the vehicle wash-down station captures, treats and reuses water over a number of cycles, only being supplemented with rainwater, as required. The tanks were matched aesthetically with the distribution centre, adding to the architectural integrity of the buildings. kingspanwater.com.au
