Kaynemaile collaborated with architecture firm ThomsonAdsett to realize the facade screen concept as part of the $50 million upgrade to Aspley Hypermarket shopping centre in Queensland. Stretched over a geometric steel frame, the facade highlights the unique properties of Kaynemaile-Armour, providing a solid yet translucent fabric-like screen.
The shadow play on the silver-coloured screen changes dramatically from day to night, creating a dynamic architectural feature. Each screen was fabricated and installed as one single piece, the largest being 60 metres long by six metres high.
