Premier Steel Technologies’ Truedek Steel Decking system was used in a major renovation of a large 1930s apartment building at Double Bay in Sydney.
Truedek is a strong engineered panel that becomes part of the permanent concrete formwork in construction. It is able to span across seven metres without propping and is pre-cambered to minimize wet concrete deflection and ponding. The renovation of the Double Bay building called for a concrete slab across the entire top floor. Truedek proved ideal for the job, as the 90 mm panels could span the required areas without any requirement to prop underneath, leaving the timber floors and ceilings in original condition. truedek.com.au
