Health Care / Health Design 2020

Held every two years, Health Care / Health Design is a one-day forum that brings together leading international and Australian design practitioners, policy makers, researchers and clinicians to examine issues around health, palliative and aged care design. Speakers will discuss the future of the sector and explore the relationship between best practice in design and the delivery of world-class facilities. International speakers include Christine Nickl-Weller and Chris Watson.

In addition to designing and implementing buildings for healthcare, research and education, Nickl-Weller is practice vocal for the European Network Architecture for Health. As property director with Maggie’s, a charity providing free cancer support from 30 centres across the UK and internationally, Chris Watson plays a lead role in the management and delivery of architecture that supports healing, working with high-profile architects such as Steven Holl, Thomas Heatherwick and Ab Rogers.

Health Care / Health Design is part of Design Speaks and is presented with the support of Dulux.

Please note: The event planned to take place at the Museum of Sydney’s Warrane Theatre on Thursday 23 July has been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
