The Architecture Symposium: Small

Sydney architects Anita Panov and Andrew Scott of Panov Scott are curating a weekend of learning in Brisbane this June, including tours of four architect-designed homes. The Architecture Symposium: Small event will bring together a group of exciting, field-leading architects to interrogate concepts of “smallness” in contemporary architecture, be it in environmental, fiscal, or societal contexts.

To be held in Brisbane, on day one, practitioners from around Australia and further afield convene to presentprojects and demonstrate methods of practice; and on day two delegates tour Brisbane houses: New Farm Cottage by Vokes and Peters, Terrarium House by John Ellway Architect, Z House by Donovan Hill and La Scala by Richards and Spence.

The Architecture Symposium: Small is a Design Speaks event presented by Architecture Media with the support of Dulux and the University of Queensland.

Please note: This event, planned for 27-28 June in Brisbane, has been postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
