Shortlist announced: Australian Interior Design Awards 2022

The shortlist for the 19th Australian Interior Design Awards was announced on 30 March, with 183 projects shortlisted from 449 entries. The program, a partnership event of the Design Institute of Australia and Artichoke magazine, recognizes interior design excellence in the categories of Retail Design, Hospitality Design, Workplace Design, Public Design, Installation Design, Residential Design and Residential Decoration.

Winners will be revealed at a gala presentation dinner on Friday 17 June at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency, along with recipients of the Sustainability Advancement Award, Award for Interior Design Impact, Best of State Awards for Commercial Design and Residential Design, the Emerging Interior Design Practice Award, Best International Design, and the Premier Award for Australian Interior Design. Details will be published in the June issue of Artichoke.

The jury comprises: Madeleine Blanchfield of Madeleine Blanchfield Architects; Eid Goh of Architects EAT; Stuart Krelle of Luchetti Krelle; Rosie Morley of Fender Katsalidis; Jade Nottage of Tom Mark Henry; Beatrix Rowe of Beatrix Rowe Interior Design; Peter Walker of Cumulus Studio; and Scott Walker of Hassell.
