Tappeti × YSG hand-tufted rugs

Weaving colourful narratives of Egypt’s faraway lands and pharaonic past with fictional flair, Real Majik is a rug collaboration between Tappeti and YSG that tells a tangible tale of hand-knotted and hand-tufted artisanship.

YSG is a Sydney-based design studio, led by Yasmine Ghoniem, celebrated for its instinctual approach to design and adventurous palette-plays. YSG’s immersive approach to creating spaces for private residences (and the hospitality and commercial sectors) is characterized by daring material palettes, organic shapes and unexpected textural pairings – from joinery to individual furnishing pieces.

Since 2006, Tappeti has been designing and hand-crafting bespoke rugs that highlight the beauty of traditional weaving techniques, handmade processes and natural fibre types. The Real Majik collection comprises 12 hand-tufted New Zealand wool and artsilk designs, conveying YSG’s commitment to craft and colour-fuelled interiors.
