Hi-light concealment louvre panels for Yarra Honda

Yarra Honda’s new car dealership and service building in Melbourne, Victoria, recently underwent an extensive refurbishment. Previously used as the Coles Myer data centre, the Collingwood landmark is now a stylish and fitting home for one of the automotive industry’s most exciting brands.

In consultation with architects Dealership Design Services, Hi-Light designed and produced a purpose-built extruded nosing combined with a standard Hi-Light louvre profile SS323/60 to create a refined blade to filigree effect. The six tiers of Hi-Light screens inclined at 12 degrees to the north, east and west elevations conceal the car park contained within. The screen panels are supported from structural angle sections connected through the facade to structural columns.

Hi-Light Industries provided structural verification, design and construction of the new nosing, design of the connections, manufacture of the panels, provision of access equipment and installation of the screen system.

For over 25 years, Hi-Light and Webforge screen systems have been custom-designed and manufactured in Australia from Australian materials. Thousands of successfully completed projects in Australia and around the world are testimony to the comprehensive testing, care and research performed on Hi-Light and Webforge products.

Aluminium sunscreen systems are ideal for the harsh Australian climate. They protect buildings and their occupants from heat, glare, sunlight and reflected light. Hi-Light screens achieve the optimum benefits of natural filtered sunlight while creating an energy-efficient environment in any existing or new building structure.
