Siren Design was commissioned to transform a warehouse space into the unique fitness studio Flow Athletic in Paddington, Sydney.
The overall design of the space is of simplicity, with a controlled and thoughtful palette of materials. The use of industrial-concrete Stonini panels complements the space, providing elements of raw beauty, subtle texture and a polished finish.
Siren Design specified the panels for the reception area. The unique composition of Stonini allows for easy cutting and drilling without the need for expensive off-site machinery. This flexibility allowed the joiner to create an infill within the reception counter and to pin-fix the Flow Athletic lettering and logo. Stonini panels were also used for a solid-core wall in 1800 mm × 600 mm panels, offering durability and a unique handmade aesthetic.
