Trapezoidal insulated roofing panel system installed at a $5 million school in Victoria.

Kingspan at South Gippsland school

As a part of the Commonwealth Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER) program, a $5 million specialist school in South Gippsland, Victoria, has been built using the high-performance Kingspan trapezoidal insulated roofing panel system (KS1000RW). The panels, supplied in a

100 mm thickness and delivering an R value of 5.35, have helped meet the required standards for sustainability and strict building regulations.

Part of a redevelopment area, the new school comprises five buildings designed by architects Kneeler Design. This smart, contemporary suite of buildings is one of the first schools to incorporate Kingspan’s innovative new insulated panel systems into a roof. The roof panel is a pre-engineered single-fix system with a high-performance, environmentally sustainable PIR (polyisocyanurate) core, which has superior fire performance and guaranteed lifetime thermal performance.
