Philippe Mayer, Grange chairman and president of Valorization of Innovation in Furnishing (VIA), is an icon of the French furniture industry and has been instrumental in developing designers including Philippe Starck and Jean-Paul Gaultier. Mayer visited Melbourne in October, presenting the latest Grange collection at the Domo Collections showroom in Sandringham.
Mayer has been a director and shareholder of Grange since 1994. In that time he has played a key role in negotiating the partial sale of Grange to consumer brands group AGA Rangemaster Group. He has steadily built the company into an international brand with products available in 40 countries worldwide.
Quintessential French themes and culture imbue the newest Grange collection. The pieces are durable, warm and have a heritage feel.
