Successful partnership for Bushfire Flame Zone windows and doors

Schott Pyranova® is used inside Paarhammers’ first Bushfire Flame Zone-approved window, door and sliding door solution. Finally no more external shutter systems or fire screens are required to realize a building in a Bushfire Flame Zone area.

This new system is an industry first, which uses locally sourced red ironbark timber and Pyranova fire-rated glass as a double-glazed unit, combined with easy-to-use tilt-and-turn or lift-slide mechanism.

Two years after the devastating 2009 bushfires there are finally AS1530.8.2- tested and accredited windows and doors suitable for the toughest Australian bushfire-prone areas. Schott, with their 125 years of experience in special glass, together with Victoria’s multi-award winning regional timber window manufacturer Paarhammer developed this system to help keep people and property save during bushfires.
