A new insulated wall system has been released by Superior Panel Construction. The first home incorporating the new building system was recently completed on a rural property in Pittsworth, west of Toowoomba, Qld. The three-bedroom hilltop home sits in an attractive rural area and enjoys superb views in all directions. However, as the home faces due west, it is also very exposed to freezing cold westerly winds in winter and blazing hot summer conditions.
Superior’s managing director, Nick Violet, says the innovative building system significantly reduces material costs and construction time and will greatly reduce heating and cooling costs in extreme climatic conditions, making it ideal for projects such as this Pittsworth home.
In addition to their insulation properties, the panels improve sound insulation between rooms and from outdoor sources. They will not rot or decay and have been structurally tested and approved for use in cyclone-affected areas.
