Eat Drink Design Awards winners announced

Tending toward the wistful and nostalgic, the winners of the 2020 Eat Drink Design Awards include a soft yet grand Footscray cafe, a hotel that playfully engages with its Art Deco history and a futuristic Haymarket food court.

Best Bar Design winner Leigh Street Wine Room by Studio-Gram, which created a striking archway to unite the space’s two levels, received jury accolades for its “timeless European style” and “immediately welcoming vibe.”

Osteria Tedesca by Cox Architecture was one of two winners of Best Restaurant Design. Situated in the Red Hill Victorian wine region, the project was praised by the jury for being “very now: genuine, grounded and thoughtful.”
