Recycled power poles

Nash Timbers of Sydney, a leader in recycling timber, is supplying recycled power poles to prestige homes and commercial environments. The poles have been used in a cafe at Ryde Park, New South Wales, and in the Port Botany Boardwalk lookout and amenities.

Managing director David Nash says, “Energy Australia has decommissioned and deemed unserviceable many power poles. These poles each have a unique identification tag denoting the characteristics of the pole; this then gives the project a chain of custody and you get that piece of history to keep, but remodelled to suit your requirements.”

Nash transforms the power poles into unique architectural products including recycled hardwood feature flooring, decking, cladding, staircases, furniture and spectacular feature beams. Nash is blending the old with the new and using a recycled power pole helps to ensure a healthy, habitable world for future generations.
