The partnership of Austral Bricks and Ausbuild has launched an 8-star display home in Fitzgibbon Chase, Queensland, to demonstrate to new homeowners and builders how they can achieve superior energy efficiency, affordability and comfort in their own homes.
Using a thorough design process, the 8-star house on a narrow frontage block takes advantage of natural heating, airflow and lighting, with carefully placed windows and correctly orientated rooms for comfortable and energyefficient living throughout the year.
The home has achieved an 8-star rating under the Building Energy Rating Scheme (BERS) ratings tool (the highest rating achievable is 10). The home features brick products, roofing materials and clay paving from Austral Bricks.
