The Elmich green wall system, supplied by KHD Landscape Engineering Products, was recently installed at the Rendezvous Hotel, Singapore.
This project was 85 square metres, with a length of 35.4 metres and a height of 2.4 metres. The curvature (concave wall) posed no problem for the Elmich green wall system as it is supplied and installed in modular sections. Any minor gaps between sections have been covered up with plants.
Green walls can be used for interior walls, exterior walls, free-standing walls and building facades. Green walls have a number of benefits for a building, including improved heat insulation, reduced sound transmission, enhanced air quality and reduced storm water run-off.
