Bent and Curved Glass recently completed manufacture of curved heat-strengthened laminated glass panels for the feature stair to the lobby of a commercial tower at Barangaroo, Sydney.
Working with architecture practice Woods Bagot and fabricator F & D Normoyle Engineering, Bent and Curved Glass assisted with the fine-tuning of the detail design to ensure the successful completion of the projects. The outer balustrade comprises 35 uniquely shaped and raked 21.52-mm-thick frameless glass panels. The continuous stringer spirals create a seamless sculptural form reminiscent of an unfurling ribbon cascading down three levels. bentglass.com.au
