The Walter hand-tufted rug is part of the Community collection from Designer Rugs. Designed in Australia by Christine McDonald and made from a blend of New Zealand wool and bamboo, Walter is all curves and two-tone simplicity, reminiscent of art deco industrial designer Walter Teague’s Kodak Bantam Special camera.
Designer Rugs’ Community range was released during the COVID-19 pandemic and explores the sense of community and connection to home that was created as a result of the related global change.
The collection contrasts classic designs with the “new normal” of virtual communication, featuring glitch motifs, abstract patterns and art deco references.
Community comprises six unique designs, which are suitable for both residential and commercial projects and are all available in custom colours, sizes and shapes.
