Designbuild 2010

Leaders in design and building will gather in Melbourne in June for Designbuild 2010, to share thoughts and ideas on how homes will be built in the future.

Designbuild is all about innovation and sustainability in home design and construction – from building process and design layouts to interior fittings and landscaping.

As a trade-only show, Designbuild showcases exciting new building products from leading Australian and international suppliers.

Specialist zones at this year’s event will include Green Build, Outdoor Design, Applications in Action, Tools and Safety, Infotech, Building Materials, Construction Equipment and Finishes and Coatings. Each zone offers a unique opportunity for businesses and independent professionals to stay ahead of competitors, exceed client and employer expectations and cement a reputation at the leading edge of design and construction.

Focusing on sustainable design, the dedicated Green Build zone will include live demonstrations, the latest ideas and environment friendly solutions, opening up the future of design and construction.

Taking a practical approach, the Applications in Action program runs throughout the show and offers opportunities to see live working demonstrations of the latest building materials and their applications direct from manufacturers.

Judged by industry experts, Innovation Alley is a dedicated display of the latest and most innovative products available in the market, spanning all building categories featured at Designbuild.

“We have chosen the 50 most dynamic and exciting product and technology developments from the thousands of products on display at the expo to give businesses access to the suppliers and manufacturers and to present a snapshot of the industry’s future in Australia,” says Designbuild exhibition manager Steve Horsley.

Supporting the range of exhibitors, a series of specifically designed CPD trade seminars for industry professionals centred on sustainable building will be held throughout the three days. All of the sessions carry CPD points for builders and architects and offer a fantastic opportunity to expand professional development.

The Italian Trade Commission has also organized visitors from Rome who will present the latest in stone and tile fashion from Italy.

Designbuild is one of Australia’s largest design, building and construction exhibitions. It is co-located with CEDIA, focused on custom electronic design and installation, and the Plumbing Design Show. Presenting over 450 exhibitors, Designbuild 2010 attracts the big names in building, design and construction as well as innovative smaller Australian companies.
