Woodform provided vertical timber blades for Adelaide Zoo’s Hassell and Hindmarsh–designed facade.

Woodform timber facades at Adelaide Zoo

Timber specialist Woodform has collaborated with architects Hassell and Hindmarsh on several additions to the Adelaide Zoo.

Supplying extensive amounts of timber for the front entrance and new panda enclosure, Woodform was called on to provide expert timber work such as vertical mullions in glass facades and a vertical timber blade facade. Woodform also supplied a number of bollards, handrails, benches, arbours and many lineal metres of decking, all of which needed to be manufactured in varying earthy shades of native timber.

Assistance was provided to the architect in specification so the desired appearance could be achieved in a durable manner.
