Australian Landscape Conference

This year, the Australian Landscape Conference has 15 remarkable presentations, with 13 by key international speakers.

The speakers include: Aniket Bhagwat (India), head of Landscape India; key Australian garden writer Anne Latreille; landscape architect Juan Grimm (Chile); designer Ken Smith (New York); Louisa Jones, a world authority on gardens and landscapes of the Mediterranean; Paul Bangay, one of Australia’s best known designers, with world-class garden photographer Simon Griffiths; distinguished tropical designer Raymond Jungles (Miami); Toshio Watanabe, a key authority on the gardens of Japan; and Peter Watts, a highly respected landscape architect and heritage administrator with a deep knowledge of the arts.

The rapporteur sessions enable participants to comment and interact. The conference also includes a designer gardens tour to the Mornington Peninsula, a speakers’ dinner and workshops.

The conference will be held in Melbourne from 20 to 23 September 2013.
