With the help of CitySwitch Green Office more and more businesses are taking control of operating costs by getting smarter with energy.
Recent CitySwitch Award winners Tract Consultants and GIW Environmental Solutions cut energy use in their shared Melbourne office by 10% by putting staff up to the challenge of an internal energy-reduction competition. Competing for maximum energy savings, teams introduced a number of low-cost initiatives, from delamping, an HVAC upgrade and use of an energysaving tips mascot, to equipment timer switches and switch-off signage to bolster behaviour change. They are on track to saving $4,400 per year and achieving a 4-star NABERS energy rating with the help of CitySwitch.
CitySwitch is Australia’s flagship tenant energy-efficiency program. It is free to join and the program provides toolkits, case studies and regular networking information sessions. Funding for energy ratings is open for a limited time.
