The construction industry is rapidly embracing precast concrete as a prefabricated building material that can decrease construction risk, increase return on investment and open up a world of architectural opportunities. Using precast concrete can decrease construction times by up to 75%.
With this in mind, a series of three booklets has been produced by the Department of Industry, Innovation, Climate Change, Science, Research and Tertiary Education, and the National Precast Concrete Association of Australia (NPCAA). The booklets are Amazing Architecture: Explore the possibilities of precast concrete; Mitigating Construction Risk: How precast concrete reduces cost and improves safety; and Minimising Investment Risk: Why precast concrete delivers on investment.
