Sea-Tex solar control fabric from Horiso

Sea-Tex solar control fabric, developed by Hunter Douglas and distributed by Horiso, is made from Bionic FLX yarn, which is produced using recovered ocean plastic.

Plastic pollution has a direct and deadly effect on ocean wildlife. Thousands of seabirds, sea turtles and other marine animals are killed each year after ingesting plastic or getting tangled in abandoned fishing nets. Specifying Sea-Tex for an average-sized commercial project requires 480 kg of recovered ocean plastic. Sea-Tex is available in five colours, ‘White,’ ‘Haze,’ ‘Graphite,’ ‘Sand’ and ‘Pearl.’ It is also available with a blackout or metallized backing fabric.
