Stoddart recently completed an architectural metalwork project on the Gold Coast Light Rail for CPB Contractors. It included creating Perf Art screening for the Smith Street overpass pedestrian bridge, designed by Cox Architecture.
Perf Art is created by punching different sized holes into metal to create a design, which can be abstract, figurative or even based on a photograph. For the Smith Street bridge project, Stoddart’s architectural drafting team collaborated closely with both CPB and the steelwork contractor, working from the same three-dimensional models to ensure that all of the screening was designed to fit without any delay in the installation process.
