Located on Victoria’s Phillip Island and exposed to the harsh weather conditions of Bass Strait, the roofing of the Penguin Parade Visitor Centre was required to excel in both form and function.
The roof has been designed by Terroir architects to heighten the visitor experience on approach. The selection of COLORBOND® Ultra steel in the colour Cosmic® delivers a neutrality of colour, while the shimmer of its metallic finish provides depth. As the setting sun glistens on the COLORBOND® steel, it becomes visually reminiscent of the local penguins emerging from the sea.
