Gaggenau opens new Sydney showroom

Sydney’s brand-new Gaggenau showroom has opened its doors and welcomes visitors to its four contemporary kitchens, courtyard and media room.

The showroom was designed by German architect and long-time Gaggenau collaborator Hendrik Müller of 1zu33 Architectural Brand Identity.

Müller said the space is divided into two zones: a street-facing social hub that showcases products, and a fully functional
kitchen that demonstrates appliances in action.

“In the front part, you see products on display, whereas in the rear, this is much more influenced by residential design, created with the intention of focusing on an application-driven way of showcasing the product,” Müller said.

The social hub ceiling is about 5 m high, which Müller said creates an impression of being in a gallery. In the rear of the site, a raised floor and a dropped ceiling with wooden beams evoke a more cozy, homey feel. architectureau.com/articles/gaggenau-opens-new-sydney-showroom
