The winners of the product design competition the Reece Bathroom Innovation Awards (BIA) 2011 have been announced.
Justin Wagemakers of Blue Sky Design Group in Sydney was announced the winner of the $20,000 professional prize for his design Bathe. The $10,000 student prize went to Toby Nowland for his Eggshell bath.
This year’s award ceremony was held during Saturday in Design 2011 at Reece Bathroom Life showroom, Surry Hills, and was hosted by Senator Matt Thistlethwaite, representing the Minister of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator the Honourable Kim Carr.
Reece Bathroom marketing manager Belinda Geels says, “Since the awards’ inception, the BIA has uncovered some truly amazing design talent, both in the student and professional categories, and has provided these designers with a platform to promote their work on the world stage.”
