Adbri Masonry’s Architectural Brick creates a simple yet bold statement.

Architectural Brick used at Hoddle House

The renovation and extension of Hoddle House in Melbourne, designed by Freadman White, has been awarded the Kevin Borland Masonry Award at the 2016 Think Brick Awards. This resounding success saw Freadman White presented with a prize of $10,000.

The Think Brick Awards encourage architects to rethink brick and reward architects who have discovered the design potential that masonry can have on their projects. This is demonstrated with Adbri Masonry’s Architectural Brick in ebony, creating the perfect balance of a simple yet bold statement.

“Our client, a young family, required additional space for their young children to explore. It was essential that both the existing and new spaces were planned to make efficient use of the old, while achieving greater volume within the addition,” explains Ilana Freadman of Freadman White.

Adbri Masonry is pleased that this project has received due recognition for its inspired design. The project is a great example of how minimalist building materials such as Architectural Brick can be used to achieve stunning aesthetics. adbrimasonry.com.au
