Eat Drink Design Awards 2019 shortlist

The shortlist for the 2019 Eat Drink Design Awards, which will be presented at the Metropolis in Melbourne on 12 November, features 94 “remarkable and diverse” entries across seven categories. “The shortlist is a survey of the exceptional quality and diversity in the design of our region’s hospitality industry,” said Cassie Hansen, jury chair and editor of Artichoke magazine.

The annual Eat Drink Design Awards celebrate excellence in the design of hospitality venues of all scales and types, as well as retail environments for the sale of food and beverages and their visual identities. It is judged by leading figures in both the design and hospitality industries. This year’s jury comprises Besha Rodell (New York Times’ Australian restaurant critic), Nathan Toleman (restaurateur and Mulberry Group CEO), Graham Charbonneau (co-founder of Studio Gram), Phillip Schemnitz (architect of the 2018 Hall of Fame inductee, Cookie), and Cassie Hansen (Artichoke editor).
