2011 Australian Interior Design Awards

The interior design industry’s day of reckoning has arrived with the announcement of the 2011 Australian Interior Design Awards short list. The highly anticipated annual awards program is co-presented by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA), designEX and Artichoke magazine to recognize and celebrate excellence in residential and commercial interior design.

A total of 499 entries were received in 2011, despite the impacts of the GFC and natural disasters across the county. The quality of entries was again very high as demonstrated by the short-listing of 121 projects in various award categories.

The online Awards Gallery is a powerful tool for clients searching for architects and interior designers. It showcases short listed projects for 2011, as well as past program results spanning over eight years.

The winners and finalists of the 2011 Australian Interior Design Awards will be announced at a gala presentation dinner on Friday 15 April 2011 at Peninsula in Melbourne, to be attended by more than 600 industry professionals. Results will then be posted to the online gallery.

Generous corporate supporters include Forbo Flooring Systems, Somfy, the Laminex Group, Dulux Australia, Smeg, Hafele, Space, ISIS and the Hatton.
