A truly bespoke product is now on the market from PGH Bricks. Vibrant is a brick collection with a glazed finish, handmade in striking colours to stretch the imagination. Launched in 2010, the collection is suitable for creative applications in both residential and commercial projects.
For PGH Bricks, the ceramic product was a natural progression from the current ranges that are available. Developed by Lionel Helie, operations manager for PGH, the Vibrant brick range is not only unique for its amazing colours but also for its processes and substance.
The bricks are made in true artisan style. The product is fired once, a glaze is applied by hand to the face and one header and then they are fired again. Each batch is a mere 200 units, the capacity of the kiln, so these bricks are the crème de la crème of the PGH range. As well as their unique finish, Vibrant bricks feature sustainable qualities such as solar reflectivity, thermal mass properties and colour longevity.
The Vibrant palette spans seven lush colours – Cosmic, a dusky purple; Fizz, a sprightly yellow; Paris, a blushing pink; Rhapsody, a soothing blue; Tango, a balanced orange; Wasabi, a zingy green; and Watermelon, a glossy red. Vibrant’s versatility means the bricks can be used in exterior and interior designs. The durable finish is suitable for use in outdoor rooms, kitchens, bathrooms and feature walls – wherever innovation and creativity abound.
To complement the Vibrant range, the PGH team has developed partner collections: Academy is again a ceramic brick but with a colour palette that ranges from pink through reds and browns to a striking deep blue; Alchemy incorporates a remarkable metallic finish that glitters in the light; Altitude is a glazed brick that features a wire-cut finish currently available in five colours from light pink through to dark grey.
